Description
Bokashi is Japanese for fermented organic matter. EM•1 Rice Bran Bokashi is made with certified organic rice bran, Super C EM-X Ceramic powder, EM•1® Microbial Inoculant, and molasses. EM•1 Microbial Inoculant helps balance the microbial ecology of the soil and supply nutrients to your garden. Help reduce landfill inputs by recycling your kitchen waste!
Advantages of composting kitchen waste with EM•1 Rice Bran Bokashi:
• Accelerates rate of composting by supplying beneficial microorganisms
• Decreases composting time by up to 50%
• Reduces odors of organic material
• From waste to wonderful... from scraps to splendor!
The 2 lb package is enough to treat two 5 gallon food waste buckets (10 gallons total). The new packaging, made from corn starch and vegetable oil, is biodegradable; when the product is used up, just toss the empty container in with your other food waste!
EM•1 Rice Bran Bokashi can also be used to control litter box odor! Add two cups of bokashi to fresh litter and as needed thereafter.
How to Use:
Fermentation bucket: Sprinkle a handful of bokashi on fresh food waste after it is placed in fermentation bucket. Use enough bokashi to coat food waste thoroughly.
Compost pile: Sprinkle a handful of bokashi on fresh food waste. Fermented food waste can be buried in a hole and covered with 6 inches of soil or layered in a compost pile to accelerate decomposition.
